lemon?

  • lemon?

    sunday will be a week for me on introduction ive been drinking water but im wondering if when i drink water if i can add just a dab of lemon each time i drink 8 oz it goes down a little better lol and i will be able to reach my water intake.

    float a thin slice of lemon in your water. Some others do the same with cucumber or mint.

        hello joy i see u have been doing this for a week know have u seen and progress??? and i was just trying to figure out a few things i dont think iam eating enough carbs how many day are u eating and is that working for u??? well hope to talk to u soon

            Hi Liza ive lost 7lbs so far im really carefull what i eat though i use oil and vinegar on salad because theres no carbs or hidden sugar. what do you want to know ?this website is great i learned alot of things that i didnt know just reading the book everyone is great thank you so much.

              wow u look great u have given me hope that i can do this if i keep my mind in this iam just having some trouble trying to know how many carbs i have to eat to make sure iam getting enough cus iam not sure if iam getting enought well hope to talk to u soon liza

                hahaha... love the monkey hehehh... well i have found this no carb ranch dressing and its great so i have been using that but iam just not sure if iam getting enough carbs about haw many are u getting a day ????

                  wow i just saw that u are from syracus ny wow iam not too far from u i live in sayre pa do u know where that is well iam looking for what ever help i can get i just want this to work i have tryed so many other things and it never works i want to loose the weight and look good !!!!! ttys

                    lets see i usually eat turkey bacon and eggs for breakfast, maybe some tiplia fish cooked with butter and parm cheese with a romaine salad with oil and vinegar and parm cheese ,for dinner maybe a steak or something just given you a rough idea i probably do about well no more than 10 carbs a day.

                        Both of you are not eating enough carbohydrates in the form of vegetables.

                        You need to be eating a minimum of 3 cups of vegetables a day. I would encourage you to only eat one of those cups in lettuce. Make the other cup of salad veggies some other type of veggie like cucumber, mushrooms, bok choy, celery, radish, jicama, etc. and another full cup of other vegetables that are higher carbohydrate.

                        THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE. You NEED these vegetables!

                        You guys really need to get the book and read it. If you truly want to be successful, you need to read the book. Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution version 2002.

                          see i the first day i had 8 Carbs and yesterday i only had 4 but i still had my 2 cups of salad and 1 cup of cucumbers is that ok humm.... i guess i should have had more huh? well i had buff wings that where only 1 per 4 wings and i had 12 wings and blue chesse wjich was i per 2 tbls so that what i had for dinner and lots of water and i had salad for dinner with peper jack cheese on it with the no carb dress and i was full so iam not sure if iam doing this right?? help hahahha...

                            so are u saying i lettuce and i cup of cucumbers and one more cup of a veg that has so carbs in it that are on the list??? the ones that are 10% cus that would bring up my carbs is that what i need to do??? thank u for helping me

                              Yes Liza, Eat one cup lettuce, one cup cucumbers (since that's what you like) and one cup of veggies from this list:
                              Other Vegetables
                              You can have one cup per day of these veggies if salad does not exceed two cups. The following vegetables are slightly higher in carbohydrate content than the salad vegetables:

                              artichoke
                              celery root
                              pumpkin
                              artichoke hearts
                              rhubarb
                              asparagus
                              chard
                              sauerkraut
                              bamboo shoots
                              collard greens
                              scallions
                              dandelion
                              snow peas
                              bean sprouts
                              dandelion greens
                              spaghetti squash
                              beet greens
                              eggplant
                              spinach
                              broccoli
                              hearts of palm
                              string or wax beans
                              broccoli rabe
                              kale
                              summer squash
                              brussels
                              kohlrabi
                              tomato
                              bean sprouts
                              leeks
                              turnips
                              cabbage
                              okra
                              water chestnuts
                              cauliflower
                              onion
                              zucchini
                              If a vegetable, such as spinach or tomato, cooks down significantly, it must be measured raw so as not to underestimate its carb count.
