    Welcome back.

Nothing really helps me lose faster, because I learned that my body loses at its own rate. None of those tricks--upping exercise, lowering calories, eating more fat, etc.---work. So I've learned to go with the flow: if my body wants to lose 1 pound a week, why should I stress myself out by doing things to force it to lose "Faster" when it's obvious my body has a rate that its comfortable at?

      Re: Help!

If you have been cheat free on an induction regimen for a week (< 20 net carbs/day) , you most likely are already in ketosis, unless you are eating massive quantities of meat. However, while being in ketosis gives you a metabolic advantage in that you should be able to loose at a higher caloric intake level than can someone not in ketosis, being in ketosis doesn't determine the rate you lose weight.

If you eat too little, your body can become more resistant to burning stored fat. Too much protein results in extra carbs being created from it. Too many carbs, and you won't stay in ketosis. Exercise and keeping your intake at 65% fat, 30% protein and 5% carbs (percentages of total daily caloric intake) are recommended for best successful induction.

        Welcome back, Kiwifraise

        Congratulations on a week cheatfree!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

          Re: Help!

80 lbs in 13 weeks is the fastest I've ever heard. Do what you did then LOL!

Seriously though. How old is the baby? You body does some MAJOR adjusting post partum and may not be ready to give up those lbs yet, nursing or not.

But, those aside, do a clean induction, eat enough calories and plenty of fat, keep moving and it will come off.

          Hugs
