  • Depress but hopeful

    Hi friends,
Today i have started induction with a new hope that it will bless me like millions of people.I was very skinny seven to 8 months a ago but due to some personal tragedies started binge eating and quickly gain a lot of weight around 35 to 40 pounds.Since last month i had attempted several to start induction but on very 2 or even 4th day end on binge cheating.Yesterday after cheating i got very depress and start thinking of myself as a big loser.I have read the whole Atkins book several time and very hopeful that this will definitely work for me.I wanna myself back in to very good shape.I am tired of being myself seeing out of shape. This forum seems to be a big support for me.Will i be able to shed these 35 to 40 pounds in 2 months time.I am exercising regularly and also takking my veggies and wateras well.

    Dying to see difference.Plz

You can do it! It really does work, but you have to work the program. Did you get rid of all the carby junk in the house to help you avoid temptation?? Just keep hanging in there, and keep coming back here and posting. Lots of support and help here!!

I really understand what you are saying...... I got so depressed in the past about my weight that as a result i would end up eating even more to cheer myself up.... Its so hard to break the circle.... the first few days on atkins induction are the hardest, if you get through these you will beging to feel so much better and it gets easier, I started Atkins 8 days ago, I found day 3 and 4 the hardest but i stuck with it and by day 5 I felt great and had lost 5lb.... you can do this, and so can I afterall we are the only ones that decide what we put into our mouth....

Musu, these are your stats that you posted in an earlier thread:
          Height 5'5
          SW:145Ibs
          CW:145Ibs
          GW:105Ibs
As I pointed out in that thread, you are already within the "normal" weight range according to the Body Mass Index charts (BMI). For your height, your normal BMI range is 150 to 111 pounds. Your goal of 105 pounds puts you into the "underweight" category for BMI.

I think you should seriously reconsider your goal weight because our ultimate goal is improved health.
