Day 11.... feeling great..afraid of the SCALES

  • Day 11.... feeling great..afraid of the SCALES

    Hi everyone, I am on day 11, the last 5 days I have been really good eating the correct foods etc.. the last time i weighed myself was last Saturday, and I was so happy to see I weighed 5lb lighter..... im due to weigh myself again tomorrow and I am so nervous, I really want to keep going with atkins and im afraid that if I didnt loose any weight I will give up. I know that sometimes we can loose inches instead of pounds but i know deep down i wont be convinced if it doesnt show on the scales.

    Maggie. There is NO rule that says you have to weigh yourself, you know? Just keep doing what you are doing and don't get caught up in the scale if you don't want to. That stupid scale became such an obsession with me I started jumping on it everytime I was in the bathroom. (Hence the NO WEIGH Challenge). You are feeling great, right? Clothes looser? Then don't worry about the number on the metal box!!!

        I know for a fact I can't rely entirely on the scale. I feel like I haven't lost that much weight in the last week or so...but the scale says I have. But my clothes don't feel all that much looser ( ).

        Anyhow, just wanted to share that with you...and don't give up. We all get stalled at some point, but we surpass it. Remember, anything worth having is WORTH waiting for. And that's a thinner, healthier you.

          I think the main thing is for us to stick with it, if we are true to ourselves and are sticking to the correct foods, the weeks where we can feel it in our clothes and its not showing on the scales and the weeks its showing on the scales and not in our clothes will all balance out, and we will be the slim healthy person we are so desperate to be!
