  • Back on but have a question...

    Hey, this is my second time around, so Im not a newbie. But Im wondering, I feel better when I just eat only when im hungry. Of course with this way of life, I dont feel hungry very often, what do you guys think...am I makin my results worst or better by doing that?

    Dr. Atkins said to not go more than 6 waking hours without eating because you need to keep your blood sugar stable. This doesn't mean you should eat 14 course meals. This means if hour 6 is now and you only feel like eating a chicken leg and a few sticks of celery, then that's all you eat.

    You'll find that if you listen to your body, you'll only eat the amount of food it needs to do its activities. On days you are more active, your appetite will be greater than on less active days.

      yep feed only your hunger unless the 6 hr rule applies and then DR Atkins says to have a SMALL protein/fat snack with some of your carbs ( neaming veggies in induc5tion)

        To rephrase your post for you, it sounds like you're saying you don't feel so good if you eat more food than your true hunger dictates, as well. This is a good thing - you are only supposed to eat to feed your hunger. Oh so many of us have learned the hard way how gorging yourself at a meal comes back to haunt us with gas, bloating, cramps and other discomforts, not to mention the anxiety of having gone overboard without needing all that food.
