our family is in the midst of a sore throat infestation, does anyone have any home remedies that would be suitable for induction. i know the gargle with warm water and salt. there is also some sort of tea with ginger and tyme but all the recipes i have found contain honey. anyone know any tried and true? thanks

The warm salt water gargle you mentioned is a good one. Also you can sip hot "lemonade", however keep in mind the Induction limits for lemon/lime juice is 2 tablespoons daily.
The best thing for a sore throat is to see a doctor, and get plenty of rest and drink fluids.
You might want to check the "low Carb Menues" section of the Recipe forum, because there is a thread that deals with convalescence and illness menu ideas.

Warm salt water is the best way to fight infection and help a sore throat. I hate doing it, but I have to admit that it works. I also drink a lot of soothing warm (not hot) drinks like decaf chai or peppermint tea with cream.F/24/5'10"
