  • Day 11

Today marks Day 11 for me. I've been having lots of stress lately from home and from the job, so to keep myself optimistic, I'm here posting my results so far.
In the past 11 days, I have shown more willpower and self control than I think I ever have, at least concerning food. Even on all my previous attempts, my induction was never completely clean. Now i'm only 3 days away from completing it, and I haven't cheated once.
TOM showed up yesterday, but even in spite of THAT, I've still lost...
    8.5 pounds
    11 inches
Which is wonderful of course, but i'm more proud of my willpower lately than the scale or the tape measure. In the last few days i've had screaming matches at home and the most stressful days ever at my job, and somehow, I never turned to food. the old me would have headed -straight- to taco bell lol. I went out with my friend for dinner last night to Red Lobster, and those chedder biscuits sat on the table, completely untouched. Even the croutons and teeny little pieces of carrot in my salad went un-eaten. Im super proud of myself for that, more than anything else!

    Re: Day 11

Good for you! On the loss and for staying cheat-free. There's always going to be something that stresses us out. Good for you for staying strong and finding another way to deal with it. Congrats on staying strong at RL too. I was there for lunch the other day. Those little biscuits were singing to me. A co-worker was having lunch at the same restaurant. I told her I didn't eat any but they were tempting. She said nah, they were dried out and not very good. Double-yay for me for ignoring them! Oh, sorry...this is about you....yay for you!!!

      yay for both of us!
Yeah my friend that I went went got the admirals feast. I dont remember what it was xcept that it was full of nothing but fried stuff piled really high. So I finished my grilled shrimp and veggies about 15 minutes before she got halfway through her food, and I was beyond full. She says she loves carbs too much to give them up, but then complains as shes eating them "man this is probably really bad for me" I'm like, ya think? lol

Great job. I too am going through a really bad time right now. Last night was the worst. I cried all night but wasn't even tempted by the food. Hubby lost it and had a big glass of chocolate milk though. So he's not on Atkins anymore. (He doesn't handle stress well) My only thought was I can be skinny and at least I'll have that! Course today I'm so stressed out it's a chore to stuff meals in me. Good luck and I hope everything gets better for you.

Bobbysgirl hang in there with making the right food choices. You will be at goal before you know it. Are you doing any exercise? When I am stressed out it helps. I am sorry you are going through a tough time right now. Great job sticking with the program even in a stressful time!!!
