  • Day 12

Well folks I am on day 12 cheat free. The last time I tried a clean induction I cheated in the 2nd week. I had a stressful emotional moment and turned to my enemy sugar and carbs for comfort. Did it comfort me? NO!! I felt horrible everyday that I ate it. I am learning to deal with lifes sometimes stressful moments with exercise!! I never would have thought that would be my choice of stress relief. It feels good to make it this time. Only 2 days to go and made 2 wks!!! I plan on staying on induction for a while. I have lost 16 lbs so far since Aug 13 with about a four day span of cheating in between. It feels so good to finally see the scale going down. Thank you all so much for all of the support found here on the board. I have joined exercise challenges as well as this challenge. Being part of a challenge keeps me accountable for my actions. I can see my goal!!! It is still far away but I can see it! Before I felt so helpless and out of control. So here I am in control of what I eat and not the other way around. It feels so good.
Success doesn't come to you... you have to go to it!

16 lbs.! That's awesome!!!!!! Yesterday I finished my 2 weeks, but I'm staying on induction too. I've gotten pretty used to it. Have you? The only things I am tempted by (when I see them) are things I still wouldn't be able to eat off of induction. So, why stop?!

        Great job!!!!
Don't stay on induction too long as climbing the rungs is an important part of Dr. Atkins plan. If you follow the book you will still lose! I know..I did it. And the first rung is only add 5 more carb grams of vegies. Nothing wrong with a little extra time on induction but don't forget it isn't all about losing it on induction. Adding some variety to your menu choices is great too.
