  • sugarfree koolaid

Ok, just wondering if It is allowed to add those sugarfree calorie free carb free tiny packets to your 16.9 ounces of water... they are actually called "sugarfree Koolaid On the go packets"???
the sweetner in it is aspartame, does anyone know if this is harmful on the plan?
I am real confused because all the sudden today, (on day 3) I had a feeling that this is for some reason bad but I am not sure why.
Please educate me on this one.
    thanks people!!

You have to be careful with that stuff. 4C makes something very similar but uses Splenda instead. Just remember to count it towards your 3 servings.

I ended up in a stall from Crystal Light.

thank you I think that this is why I havent gone into ketosis yet, so I am avoiding it for awhile to see if I notice a difference, too bad because I love that stuff. Oh well., some things are just more important.

I had been in Ketosis then starting drinking crystal light and it bumped me out. As soon as I stopped the crystal light, I was back. I don't have that problem with the 4C.

Have you tried some lemon water, not as good but still adds flavor.

No I havent but I will try! My problem is that I drink alot of water and then b4 atkins I also drank alot of that sugarfree kookaide so Its almost like I have to break this habit, I jsut enjoy the taste soooo much so I notice that I actually have cravings for that, I will add some lemon to my water and hopefully that will do it for my cravings. I did notice that since I havent drank the koolaide today my strips are finally showing some ketosis just a slight bit but any motivation I can get I will grab on to.

I buy the unsweetened Koolaid packages and the bag splenda (that measures like sugar) and make my own Koolaid without the aspertame. I don't drink it very often as I drink mostly water but for an occasional glass it is good.

Techincally aspartame should be avoided. It causes the same blood sugar spikes. In the beginning I was fine a drinking tons of crystal light, but after awhile I believe it was partially responsible for slowing me down too.

Only use the kool aid packets that don't have cornstarch in them. Add splenda, but count the carbs.
