    of cheating...and crying...and hating my body

    I NEED TO GET BACK TO MY FIRST WEIGHTLOSS GOAL!

    BAH!

    im off to the grocery store...atkins food ONLY...


    what should i get???!!!
    Start weight / may 2004-238
    reached my goal august 2004 - 165

    After 2 pregnancy..
    Start weight- 243

    Make a copy of the Induction acceptable foods list and bring that with you on your shopping trip.

      I can't live without my eggs and cream cheese...with those I can make Revolution rolls, low carb pizza crust, cream cheese desserts...the list is endless. And they're all induction friendly!

      I buy pepperoni in bulk...it's a great snack.

        cream cheese is a must. after induction, try honey nut cream cheese. A teaspoon is a real treat.

        1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
        what the rungs mean to me:
        rung 1 - more veggies
        rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
        rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
        rung 4 - berries, melon
        rung 5 - wine -
        rung 6 - beans, hummus
        rung 7 - other fruits
        rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
        rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
        Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
        (on to pre-maintenance)

          Honey? Nut?? What are you saying Shannon? Is this a "faux" thing? Nuts aren't allowed until the nut rung and honey's not allowed till, well, ever, as far as I know.

          So what is this honey nut cream cheese of which you speak?

            Total Carbohydrates 4.0g in Two Tablespoons

            It is mostly cream cheese, but has some small nuts in there. No, it is not induction friendly.

                Cheam cheese, eggs, meats, cheeses, salad stuff ( i buy bagged) and acceptable veggies These are all the staples of the diet. The other day I ran out of eggs and didnt know what to do, lol.

                  Cheese, Eggs, salad, chicken (boneless) hamburger meat... you can do a little of anything with that... bacon bits... turkey slices... which I'm trying to limit now... because it's prepackaged and well you know...

                    Good for you to regain control of your eating and your life. I would quick take a browse out to low carb recipe site, and figure out some quick and hasty menu's for the next week. It doesn't have to be firm, and make sure each meal is enough for left overs. That way you won't ever have to be hungry and searching for something else. I was always more dangerous when there wasn't a quick snack of leftovers than if I had prepped in advance.

                      Kent is right - make sure you have plenty of 'legal' snacks so if you have to eat something you only have acceptable foods to satisfy yourself with.

                      And before long you may find you dont seem to need to eat between meals.

                        Hello,

                        Tomorrow is day 14 of my induction and I would not have made it without romaine lettuce with shredded chesse and mushrooms covered with olive oil!! I also ate alot of hamburger patties that I put on on the george foreman grill and put a slice of cheese on top. For me, it was easy not to cheat because I made my breakfest lunch and dinner the night before and took it to work. Hope that helps!!

                          ditto to the above...I know from experience...if something good isnt there, youll replace it. Once its replaced with something bad, youll feel awful. Its better to be prepared than to feel awful.
