The thing I like is that you can have whatever meal at whatever time of day you want, as long as its Induction friendly. Some people use the mock danish for breakfast, maybe eggs or an omlette with bacon or sausage, a slice of ham, (without sugar or nitrates). Some people could have a steak, piece of chicken, ham roll up, salmon patties, salad with dressing (1 carb or less). The list is endless. Keep the accepted foods list handy to be sure you arent eating something not on the list. Let me know if youd like help with some recipes or something.

          Re: HELP please!

Thank you so much! I'm starting Induction as of tomorrow and i'm quite excited. I only have one little concern... I'm allergic to eggs! Its not that I can't have eggs at all, i just can't have fried eggs or scrambled eggs or that sort of stuff. What else is good for breakfast? I was thinking along the lines of bacon or veggies with cream cheese?? How's that??
ALSO... how is flavoured water? You know the little packages of flavour to add to the water? There are no calories and no carbs? Thats ok as a little pick me up for my water right??
My journey begins tomorrow! Wish me luck!!

            Re: HELP please!

I used those flavored packs in the past and they were OK for me. After a while I stopped because I thought they tasted to sweet. You can have anything you like for breakfast, lunch dinner, snacks...you dont HAVE to eat eggs. Another good thing to remember is to spread out your veggies so you dont get a carb overload and your blood sugar surge. I try to spread out my veggies throughour the meal .In the book it says its a good idea to get enough fat and protein if you do eat a lot of veggies to slow down the breakdown of the carbs. Hope you have a great day today!! Another thing.... have you tried Fitday It is a great website to keep track of what you are eating. Just remember to subtract your fiber from the carbs. One more thing on the cheese....make sure you measure that as well, and dont go over the daily limit for cheese (3-4 ounces) Here is a link to a card I keep in my car for when I dont have my book...it has a breakdown of the baics if you need it.

              Re: HELP please!

skip the flavored waters since you are trying right now to control your sweet tooth the last thing you need is sweetened water. also we have a 3 serving a day limit on all sweeteners in any form.

as to your egg problem remember on Atkins you can have any food from the acceptable lists at any time of day have left over dinner for breakfast or better yet cook some extra so you can have leftovers. I had every few traditional breakfast meals in my induction.

                Re: HELP please!

You might have seen this, but here are some Induction-friendly recipes:

                http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6807

There are lots of recipes in the book too, if you haven't already it's worth picking up.

And you don't have to have eggs for breakfast...you mentioned veggies and cream cheese, which sounds fine (so long as you keep within your carb limits, cream cheese has carbs). You could also roll up turkey, cream cheese and/or whatever you prefer in a lettuce leaf. You could have that with a side of bacon or sausage.

I've made up creations of my own too...that can be fun Here's a creamy sauce recipe, if you like salmon. Works for chicken too, minus the capers.

Heat up an ounce of cream cheese (or more, depending on the salmon size) in the microwave 10 seconds. Mix in some capers and lemon juice, heat for another 10-15 seconds. Spoon it over the salmon...yummy! (very creamy).
