Okay guys, I fell off the wagon, whooops... I was going so strong and doing so good, I had officially made it 6 days and then it all started with a couple friends of mine pressuring me to have a drink with them, needless to say I gave in and had SEVERAL... then I woke up today and was feeling sick because of the alcohol and had to eat several high carb foods. What do I do now????? Do I just start all over tomorrow? Any advice would be so greatly appreciated. thanks.

Re: I messed up horribly!!!
you start over with the very next bite! never wait till tomorrow to fix it cause we all know tomorrow never comes. jump back on your induction like nothing happend and go from there.
Since you don't have friends who are friends as a friend would never pressure you to do something you shouldn't be the DD next time you are out and give them your DANDR and ask them to be part of your support network.by the book atkinseer

Re: I messed up horribly!!!
Yeah I understand that, but my friends I was refering to are a fantastic group of guys that think I am nuts to "be on a diet" or want to lose weight. I dont think It is obvious to anyone else, I just have some things I want to work on for myself to feel better with my body. They didnt mean harm but it has always been hard for me to watch others have a great time and not jump in, so I need to make better choices for myself. I was just wondering where to go from here because I had worked so hard to get into ketosis and then just basically blew it.
thanks for your answer.

Re: I messed up horribly!!!
I quit drinking when I go out before starting Atkins. It's very popular to be the designated driver. Even a glass or two of wine left me with a foggy feeling the next day. Staying sober in a bar now adays is alot more entertaining than having a drink.
Start back immediately, The worse thing is when you justify eating bad all day cause you blew it once.

Re: I messed up horribly!!!
Ok you've done the first part. You've recognized you aren't on the right path anymore and want to get back. If you realize you are on the wrong path, do you continue down it or do you turn around right away. Why make this worse? Take back control, and start over like 2big says one meal at a time. Realize that bad behavior never has to spawn or be the progenitor of more bad behavior. Start drinking your water, and eating correctly.Originally posted by lorree27then I woke up today and was feeling sick because of the alcohol and had to eat several high carb foods. As for your friends, if they see you are truly serious about this, good friends would back off and respect that decision. Take that as a challenge to convince them you are doing the right thing.Kent - 35-M-6'4"

Re: I messed up horribly!!!
What the others said is right - just carry on with your induction eating as if you never strayed.
If you were asking whether you need to start counting your 14 days again, the answer is 'NO'. If yesterday was day #6 then today is #7.
Of course your total 14 day loss will not be you might have lost had you stayed on-plan, so when you use the table in DANDR to work out what your resistance to weightloss and your likely CCLL are it may be a bit out.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: I messed up horribly!!!
Thank you everyone, I would like to say that I ended up starting over on induction a couple days after i fell off it and Have have now gone 8 days cheat free with a clean induction... I realized how badly I felt when I ruined all my progress last time so I am very serious now, Live and learn I suppose is the lesson I learned there. I havent weighed in a couple days but last time I did I was down 8 pounds and I have been testing for ketosis since last week and am doing good with that. I absolultly love this diet, I am NEVER hungry, my cravings are gone, my induction flu is a thing of the past. I had the bad headaches up until 2 days ago but after that I feel wonderful. I am excited and hopeful for the future. Thanks to all of you that take your time to reply to me, I deeply appreciate it. I like that we can all be here for one another, It is a great support system.
thanks again
