I have been kind of at loss for when to eat and see some old timers *smiles* and new ppl saying eat when your hungry or when the 6 hour mark is... but don't eat just to eat. But I've always had the problem like I know so many others have that I never know when to eat.
So I am reading over the induction part of the book and I'm glad to know.
1) Eat either three regular-size meals a day or four or five smaller meals. Do not skip meals or go 6 waking hours with-out eating.
6) Adjust the quantity you eat to suit your appetite, especially as it decreases. When hungry, eat the amount that makes you feel satisfied but not stuffed. When not hungry eat a small controlled carbohydrate snack.
To me this says alot.
It truly is what keeps ppl from binging. I think at the beginning of any diet when skipping a meal it can cause a binge. I know from past times. You shouldn't go for so long until your starving. I for my own needs like to schedule times to eat or set certain amounts of meals up for a day... whether I decide to eat 3 meals a day or 4-5 smaller ones... Sometimes I mix that up. But it keeps me from binging. Or feeling hungry.
Honestly I feel hungry now and it's just because I've been trying to wait for hunger to eat. But now I can't stay not hungry for more then 3 hrs because my body is just confused or maybe I need to add a little more higher intake as a few ppl stated. Because I was eating a couple hotdogs a day. But now eating more eggs then hot dogs.
Anyway I rambled lol...
Anyone else have an opinion on this?
Take care all!!!
