  • back!

hi all, back after a short (about a month-long) hiatus from the board.
i've moved in, and college life is wreaking havoc with my eating plan. i gave us on atkins again a few weeks ago, after doing it only for a few days (again).

but all i've been eating lately seems to be carbs, and super-unhealthy ones at that. since my schedule changes daily, and sometimes i have mandatory club meetings or activities or essays i have to finish up, i've been missing the dining hall meals. i've also been staying up late, and when i stay up late i have all these munchies (choc chip cookies, pringles, cheese-itz, cockatil peanuts). This is terrible! and I feel terrible. I'm lethargic, and I don't think clearly, and I just don't know what to do. I'm exhausted all time.

Any suggestions on dealing with the added stress of college/dorm life and trying to do induction in an environment not wholly conducive to a proper induction? thanks!

    Re: back!

I never lived in a dorm, but don't you have a fridge or can't you put a small one in your room? Then you could have late night munchies that are low carb. Grab some pork rinds instead of the chips, there's another snack. My best advice is just devote yourself to it entirely. You can always make the effort to find something that's good to eat, if you're working on a paper or something and you know you're going to be up late, stock up on snacks for the night. There are things to go everywhere (burgers, salads, sandwiches) it just takes a few seconds to remove the bun or wrap or bread and then you're good to go. Good luck.

Make sure you organise some 'legal' things to snack on when you are up late, so you arent eating off-plan
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
