  • day one anybody wanna join along

    today will be my initial day one after a long absence, my current weight is 336 and have a long term goal of 200... i am going to try this induction and at the same time ask god for help... i will start off by walkinf a hour a day and hopefully regain my workout ways from the past! if anyone is on day one today please post with me and help each other out

    I have a question for you, the last time you did Atkins, what made you fall off?

      Jason I started about 5 months ago and i have lost 99 lbs. I follow the strict induction. I drink 120 oz of water a day and i walk 2 to 3 miles a day. I seem to never be hungry. These people on this board have helped me more than they will ever know. There is tons of information on this board and these great people know what they are talking about because they are living it day to day. If i can help in any way just ask, brady

        ive never really done atkins correctly since 2003, i fell off because there were alot of other problems in my life and i realize these problems are still here so its depressing because i once lost 100 pounds in 2002.. and now im here 4 years later the highest i have ever been at 336 its been a huge roller coaster ride but i know deep down inside i deserve this.. a happy fun person not one who has been living in turmoil for years now, it must stop today!!!!!

          Okay Jay. Be sure to have your book handy and make copies of the Induction food List and the Induction Rules. Being able to refer to them will make a huge difference with staying on.

          If you became bored with the Induction Foods the last time you did Atkins, you might want to consider moving to OWL phase on Day 15. Lots of people are scared that they will immediately stop losing weight on OWL so they stay on Induction way too long, get bored and fall off. OWL is nothing to fear. Plus you'll be able to a wider variety of foods while you lose weight. So your Atkins experience will be more enjoyable.

            Welcome back to our ADBB family

            You are right - you DO deserve to be a happy fun person again

            I see you have your exercise planned - well done

            How about your eating? Make sure you have plenty of 'legal' snacks around and if possible ditch the 'illegal' stuff or at least put it away so it isnt calling your name!

              Congrats on coming back. I know one thing from personal experience. When you are happier with yourself, everything else (including constant turmoil) is easier to deal with and doest get to you as much. Congrats again on taking the first step to becoming the new you....wow that sounded like a cheesy exercise infomercial, hahaha!
