  • Returning to Atkins WOE

Hi, After not doing Atkins for nearly 1 1/2 years and when I did do it I only lasted a few months because I was an over the road trucker, now I'm determined more than ever to lose my weight. I'm going to succeed this time.

I started Saturday and I'm in ketosis already. I started up my old fitday as well and will be more attentive to tracking what I eat. The dietfacts.com website sure helps alot too with helping me figure the meals at restaurants since I eat out alot.

I do have a question. I have the 1992 DANDR paperback book. Are there many difference between my book and the 2002 DANDR.

    Thanks,
    Brian

    Re: Returning to Atkins WOE

Hi Brian. Welcome to the ADBB. I also used to drive truck with my husband, over the road and then double tankers. I did that for 4 1/2 years and I know that eating junk while trucking and sitting all day really packs on the pounds.

The 2002 version of the book has more recipes, updated tips from Dr. Atkins, and new references as to the safety and effectiveness of the program. It has a Carb Counter inside that you can carry with you to determine the grams of carbs in foods. It also has more case studies from his patients.

This is the best support group you'll find for information, encouragement and friendships to motivate you as you get healthy and fit.

Best wishes!! If you have any questions, just ask. Everyone is very friendly and be glad to help you.

Welcome back to our ADBB family, Brian
It sounds as if you are already off to a good start
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!
