  • My Proudest Moments for this week

Since I'm on day 7 of my induction...I thought that I would look back to see what I had done right this week. I've actually amazed myself.

    1. I joined Curves (and actually went and worked out!)

    2. I brought my induction legal lunch to work with me every day.

    3. I didn't cheat once!

    4. On Tuesday night, we had an enormous storm, three huge trees in front of my house were taken out and I lost power for more than 24 hours. I went out and got pizzas for the guys that were over helping us remove the trees and I didn't eat any!! I have a gas stove so I could light it with a lighter and I made induction friendly food for myself. This is really amazing cause I've always been a big rationalizer in the past.

    5. And my biggest success for this week...yesterday we had a company meeting. Company meetings mean potlucks with lots of food...all with sauces, and carbs galore. And then there's a gazillion kinds of deserts. I didn't eat any of it!! Thankfully, one of the girls brought a meat and cheese platter so I had a little of that and then I went back to the office and ate my Atkins friendly lunch that I had packed!!

All in all a successful week. A few things that I want to do better next week.

    1. There were a few days that I didn't get all my water in. So, I'll be working on that.

    2. I only joined Curves on Thursday and did my first workout on Friday. I did walk the other days and moving all those trees was lots of excercise . But, I want to really concentrate on exercise this coming week.

good for you. Have you joined the ADBB exercise challenges with your new workouts? we got lots of ongoing open enrollment ones the 6WEC one is a good one for beginners cauase they shed lots of inches and go at their own pace but got to log it all so they can't forget. Same for the ADBB pres challenge

but I do have to ask if it was potluck what did you take that wasn't Atkins friendly and couldn't eat? sharing your low carb dishes will amaze your friends and coworkers at the yummy healthy stuff we get to eatr and lose fat.

Yea, I should have put that in my "need to work on" category...I brought a turtle cheesecake from the Schwan man. That's bad. But I had it in my freezer and wanted to be rid of it and I couldn't bring myself to throw it away so I pawned it off on them. Also, I am really not feeling very confident in my Atkins friendly cooking skills yet.

Also, how do I join the challenges? I really love them because they push me to do better. I was going to join the Weigh? No Way! challenge, but my 14 days of induction is up in the middle of it and I want to weigh myself then because I have promised myself that I wouldn't weigh at all during my first 14 days. But the exersice challenges, I want to joinn them as soon as I can figure out how!
