  • 2 Week Results

    Hi Everyone,

    Hope you are all having a great day!!! Well, I wanted to share my results and observations with you as I went through the last 14 days. Just things I think helped me to do as well as I did.

    Ok, for the biggest reward, I lost 15 lbs. in 14 days!!! WOOHOO

    Now, you may think, wow, I only lost 7 or 9 or 10 during Induction... it will all depend on how much we each really need to lose... so your results may differ...

    Here are the things that I believe made my success possible:

    Only legal foods, no cheats
    Watched my cheese intake
    No Splenda or artifical sweetners
    Drank NOTHING but water w/ a little key lime juice and unsweetened tea once in a while
    Exercised 3-4 times a week

    If I can do it, so can you!!! So, be tough and know that we all deserve it!!!

      FANTASTIC!!! What an encouraging start, congrats!

        Congrats to you....you have motivated me!!! This is what I needed to read today. i started induction two weeks ago, but fell off after four days, felt terrible plus I wanted sweetes badly. But I now know that it's worth holding out for..........seeing the results. You continue to hanf in there!

          Thanks Netty! It took me a long time to get back on after I fell off the wagon in 04 so I commend you for getting back in only a few days!!! How many days have you been back on? I can tell you from my experience, if you are thinking of cheating, come here and post... it does a world of good and everyone is here to support you!!! And I am glad my post helped, that is why I did it!!! Hang in there, you can do it too

                Great 14-day results

                Have you decided to move on to OWL now or carry on with induction for a while more?
                Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
                Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

                F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )

                  Good for you!! And I also noticed that you are extremely close to you first goal of being back in the 100's!! Congratulations!

                  We must have started around the same day...my last day of induction is today and I'll do my first weigh in tommorow morning. Are you going to stay on induction or are you moving on to OWL? What is your long term plan? I only ask because I am not sure of mine yet.

                    Hi Kathy,
                    After re-reading the chapter on OWL and considering my options, I have decided to do an extended Induction. I sill have about 45 lbs. to lose and I am not bored with the foods I am eating, so I will stay here for 2 weeks and then see if I want to move on at that time. My final goal is 160. But that could change once I get there, I may decided to lose more. Right now, my long term plan is to eat the right foods, follow the plan and stay on an exercise plan!

                        That's pretty much my short term plan as well. I know for sure that I'll stay on induction for at least the next week and maybe longer. I am not bored with the foods either...in fact, there is tons of induction friendly stuff that I haven't even tried yet.
