I put this question on the general forum, but realised that I should have put it on the 2nd.Time Around forum:
Am I counting calories during the Induction phase? I can't remember if I did that last time. I use Fitday.com but am I just checking the carbs? Or calories as well? I ask as I am finding it quite hard to keep my calorie intake less than 1600, but I am doing fine with my carb intake. I have 26 lbs to loose.
    Thanks

    Re: Calories

You don't need to count calories, but calories do matter.

Dr. Atkins hoped that we would be able to self-regulate our food intake due to the natural appetite-suppressing quality of ketosis/lipolysis. So he advise us to eat only that amount that satisfies our hunger, but don't gorge on food.

So no, you don't need to count calories, as long as you listen to your body and eat only the amount that satisfies your hunger.
