Re: flax?
depends
rule 12 of chapter 11 induction says you can add it starting with a tablespoon and use more as needed for constipation relief. of course once you get constipated you can keep that amount as part of your Atkins WOE but if you don't have that issue then you got to wait for rung 3 of OWL to get some.by the book atkinseer

Chapter 8, DANDR 2002
From the same section
I recommend that you take one tablepsoon of psyllium husks daily. Be sure to select a sugar-free product. You can also take one tablespoon of coarse wheat bran or flaxseed meal.
edited because spelling is good!Be aware that fiber is one place where less is more. Consuming too much fiber can block mineral absorption because food simply doesn't stay in the digestive tract long enough for your body to extract valuable nutrients.~Megs~

Re: flax?
Honey, when people talk about adding ground linseeds/flax to their foods it is to add fibre and aid against constipation/diarhea(sp?). Your pills will not assist in this problem.Originally posted by Honey17Hey guys,

Having said that, many people do use the flax capsules in order to benefit from the effects of adding the oils contained in flax/linseed. It might be an idea to post your question in the 'Vitamins and supplements' forum here for an expert response http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...splay.php?f=44Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
