  • I gave in...I need help!!!!!

    Hello everyone,

    I did great for four days until I felt sick. Yes I am aware that I should have been expecting that ill feeling for a day or two. I am going to stop making excuses I wanted what I wanted and that was it! But I'm down now, and need to be back up. I want to look and feel good in my clothes soon. I love this forum, and I'm willing to tell on myself so that I can have the support that I need! I don't want to give up again!!!!!!!!

    Just looking for a little support that's all.

    Right now you need to get right back on track.

    The most important thing you need to do is figure out why you fell off.

    During the first week or so, lots of folks do feel bad---due to carbohydrate withdrawal. Re-read the section on that in DANDR 2002 Chapter 11: Dr. Atkins did a great job of explaining it.

          Yes, I agree with the others - you can do it. You need to make a plan for the things that life throws in our paths. There will be lots of temptations, but with a good plan, you can keep on the path to goal. I've found that I can substitute nearly everything that I want with an Atkins acceptable food. If you don't know of a substitute, or its not listed in the substitution forum....just ask the members. They are very knowledgable on finding ways to overcome the temptations we all face.

          Congratulations on catching yourself and getting back with the program!! You can do this....We are all willing to help!!

            are you keeping a food journal to see if you are having any food reaction as many times those can trigger I wants even legal stuff.

            Make sure your next bite is Atkins induction legal and move on with your 14 day induction.

              Ooh do I love you guy!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I do keep a journal, this seems to help me keep track of what I'm eatig and how I'm feeling. This is s great tool. As far as my lapse...I am a hunk food addict. I love sweets, and induction doesn't allow it, and my body was going through withdrawlssssssssssssssss. I am going to start tomorrow, I just went shopping to day. I'm ready!

                ask yourself every time you think about having any will the monentary pleasure i derive from eating this be greater then the cost of the hard work I have already done and the joy I will get from being the healthier smaller person I want to be?

                if you can truely answer yes to that then come tell us about it first cause we all whant to know about that great food item you are about to eat that is worth that much to you.

                      You came to the right place to tell on yourself . It not only shows that you realize what you did wasn't in your own best interest but it allows you to get a big, warm fuzzy from the group and that will get you back on track.

                      I failed Atkins before but I'm not going to this time and the one reason is that I have ADBB this time . It's very hard to discuss your personal failures; especialy when you're overweight. People just see it as you not having any will power and being weak but that's not the case with the good peeps here - there's no judgements being passed....just great advice.

                      We are all in this together and we are all here to help you.
