  • Tongue irregularities

    Hi,

Ive just started the Atkins Nutritional Approach and despite feeling a renewed sense of vitality and energy, and turning ketostix a dark pink colour, I have noticed my tongue becoming extremely sensitive to salty and spicy foods. It also seems there are two splits in my toungue.

Is this normal? Have i done something wrong? I am currently in day 10 of induction.

    Many thanks,
    Drew

I can agree with things tasting salty. It seems that everything that I have tasted has too much salt in it!!!! I think it is has something to do with detoxing from sugar, and starches. Now about the splitting inthe tongue...call your doctor.

I personally notice everything through my tongue - if I need more water I can feel a pulsating and everything is salty - I would up the water and see if that helps - it can't hurt!
