  • is Dextrose allowed?

I have tried in vain to find the "new diet revolution" in Australia(where i reside) but it has been deleted from all the bookstores i have checked. Until it is delivered from Amazon i have been piecing parts of the concept together from info i have found on the web.

My question, all the bacon i have been buying has "Dextrose" as an ingredient, which sounds awfully similar to Sucrose and Frucrose, and I am worried if it will affect my induction. All the other bacons on the shelves contain sucrose.

    Many thanks,
    DZ

Dextrose is a type of sugar. In one of the sticky threads at the top of this forum there is a thread that contains a list of the "Sugar Aliases".

Check the carb count on the package of bacon. It may be that the amount of dextrose is pretty close to negligible -- much like the small amount of sugar that's added to most mayonnaise.
