  • Starting again - finding things hard.

    Hi everyone,

I lost a stone over the last few months but stopped the diet as my little one and i have been poorly and have just had no will power.

I felt so good before and now i feel really rubbish again. I have only gain a couple of pounds but have tummy pains and every that i had before i started atkins.

Problem is, i have attemped to do this every day for the last week and i keep cheating. What is my problem? it's so easy once you get going.

Thank you for listening to my moans xxxx

Just hang in there, and if you mess up, get right back on the program. If you've done it before, you can do it again!

It's the lure of the carbs. It takes a couple of days of being strictly on plan before you get into ketosis. Once you are in ketosis it's easier to resist the evil carbs. My only advice is to hang in there and force yourself through it. Just say no, no, no, and in a couple of days it will be easier. You can do it.

Go and look at everyones before and after photos - if i'm having a bad moment, I just get straight on the computer and go through the pics, and it really inspires me!!!

Good luck getting back on track

Maybe you can narrow down the reason you are eating off-plan and work out a strategy for avoiding it.
So if you 'always' cave when out with friends then see if you can give that scenario a miss till you feel more entrenched in the Atkins WOE.

I hope your little one is fully recovered from being poorly now.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
