  • Pretty Proud

    Hello all,
I wanted to tell you about my close encounter with a candy bar. I am on day 12 of Induction and have not cheated once, for that I am proud. Anyways, I was in a long line inside the gas station I looked over to my right and what did I see? My old best friend the candy bar! I truly thought about having just one but then I remembered "just one" is how I got to my current weight. I was able to bypass the candy bar and flee!

Great job. It can be hard to pass those things up but so worth it when we do!!!!!!

Well done - Thats soo good!!! I always used to buy chocolate when I stopped for fuel - and the bar would be gone before I'd even pulled out of the garage!!

        Well done
You certainly are living up to your screen name and moving forward!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Congratulations on your narrow escape from the candy bar. I can truly relate, I work at a university and there are always special events. Cookies, cakes and pies are always in my face. People are always offering sweets and I look at them and say, "I can't eat that, sweets are the devil." (LOL!) Thanks for offering. They think I'm joking, but I'm quite serious and that's how I escape every time.

            Peace
            ~ Chris

Good for you! I know its hard.

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Embrace all equally!
