  • Decaff and blood glucose levels??

    Hello,

I currently drink decaf with half and half, very small amount....i stopped with the sweetener about a week ago as I have been stalling. I am also going to re-read my book.

Does anyone know if decaf has any affect of blood glucose levels?

I am not sure about the decaff/blood glucose question but am sure someone will be along soon with some info.

However I noticed you are using half/half which I gather is half cream and half milk. As milk is not 'legal' till the dairy rung of OWL you might be better off using just cream in your coffee.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

the definition of a weight loss stall is 4 weeks of no inches nor pounds lost so are you really stalled or just not happy cause you didn't lose any scale pounds this week?

anything you percieve to be nurishment for your body can trigger insulin release and thus a blood sugar drop.

I didn't realize that about the half and half. I saw it in the DANDR book. Whole cream is so oily. I may have to leave the coffee out altogether or use the non-dairy creamer.

        Thanks

Ok, I'm not stalling then, but I thought the scale would move alot faster since I am doing so much exercise 60mins walking every morning. My clothes are starting to hang off of me, but I would also like to see the scale move as well. I can wait. I am going to incorporate strength training this week too.

adding lean body mass while shedding fat mass can cancel out scale changes by both. when we add new to our body exerices the body reacts as if in dangr ahd holds resources like water to protect us should whatever made us increase the load attack again since nobody works outfor fun. Once the body learns the new load is the normal load it will release the fluids and a nice scale change will occur.
