Re: is it ok to lift weights?
yep you can do anythin you want to. you might depending on how high your preatins carb load was not bealbkle to do as much as you could do before you started as it takes a bit for out bodies to generate all the powerplants carriermolecules, enzymes and stuff needed to change from carb burning to fat burning but every time you try and fail it causes your body to know it needs more stuff and create more stuff so go for it.by the book atkinseer

Yes. Exercise is a part of the Atkins plan from the very first day of Induction.

Re: is it ok to lift weights?
I would actually encourage it and integrate it with cardio. You'll lose a lot of that muscle if you're losing weight and not using it. Believe it or not, you'll have a lot of tone if you do resistance training while you're losing as all that fat has given you its own form of resistance training just with everyday living and walking and such. Not only that, additional muscle will significantly boost your metabolism and hence progress your weight loss that much further. I hope you do lift weights and I think it's awesome you asked that.

Yes please! Bring on the weights! You may notice that the scale won't go down as quickly, but your measurements should shrink nicely!
Good luck.
