    Hello all,

    First of all thanks to everyone here, Seeing all the stuff on here has helped me get started.

    Im in the 2 week induction and i think im doing well im eating nearly all meat and cheese and very little mushrooms lettuce and peppers stuff like that and i think its working so far ive been getting the usual symptoms.

    My proplem is there is that they are soo many carb counters out there and they all say different things and half of them dont make sense cause they give 2 different cab counts for the same thing

    does anyone know a good simple carb counter please!!

    I think a lot of people here use www.fitday.com to track the food we eat. It's free.

    You should be getting 3 cups of vegetables a day. That's necessary for the nutrients and fiber your body needs. I mention it only because you say you eat "very little mushrooms lettuce and peppers stuff like that".

      Yup, make sure you eat your veggies according to the rules of induction you can find in the FAQ forum.

      It sounds like you have some motivation though, so that's a good thing! I use Fitday to track my carbs, but if you are eating anything with a label on it, go with those carb values. Otherwise, I think there is an Atkins carb counter available from Atkins Nutritional. I have this one and it comes in a PDF you can download. I'll try to find the link for you.

        the reason i dont eat much veggies is because i get worried in case i go over the limit.

            That's why it's important to measure your veggies. Tacking the food with Fitday, at least until you get used to it is a great thing to do. I get a little obsessed with it, but you can check mine out...in the siggy...if you'd like for some guidance.

                Boy I'm glad I checked this thread out! I tired Fitday too and will love it. What a wonderful tool that is free!

                  Be sure and get the book, Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 edition. Very important that you read and understand the rules. You can get one at thrift stores cheap or order it from amazon.com.
