  • Popeye's Fried Chicken

    I'm on day 4 and holding strong!! Is it okay to eat fried chicken during induction or any other time if you take the skin and batter off??

    If you take the batter/breading off, it's probably OK in a pinch, but it's always best to check ingredients and nutritional info...some places inject the meat with flavorings, fillers, and such...or marinade grilled meat in sugary stuff.

      Thank you.. I ate the naked chicken strips and I had some of the meat only from a regular piece. (no skin or batter).

      I also did the ketostix test tonight and it was pink, so I'm kind of excited. Does this mean that my body is now using it's fat stores? A friend in the medical community said that it was dangerous for the body to be in that state..?

        no it's not dangerous. Ketosis gets confused with ketoacidosis, which is something different entirely and very dangerous...but you'll have to get someone like 2big4mysize to explain it better...
