  • Aww man....

    Oh boy, I really screwed up today!! Yesterday was my ninth day on induction and I was doing so well. Well, for some reason I was craving food all day long! I even gave in to all natural peanut butter...I didn't have anything with sugar in it. I did however have to many carbs...about nineteen more than I should have. Damn! Then I was starting to feel weak...(noticed my ketones were really low too) then I got on the scale at work and I gained two pounds...two hours later I got my period....which probably explains the constant hunger...but tomorrow I am going right back on! I was wondering though....what effects does your period have on this diet especially in induction phase? Also should I count tomorrow as day one again of induction?? Thanks

    count it as day 10 and move forward.

    TOM wreeks havoc with blood sugar stability and with cravings fr most folk low carb or not. if you used to add fluid weight at this time ou will still do so now.

    On day 15 check your DANDR chapter 12 13 and 14 and you can decide if you need more days in induction or will be moving to OWL you should know your metabolic resistancc level will be off and your estimated CCLL will be off on the charts cause you had this one day but it will not stall out your Atkind body morphing you are doing.

      Sherice--TOM makes me gain weight like crazy, and I also get cravings. It's important to drink you water, even more so, during this time. Stay off the scale--if you're doing everything right, trust that your weight will turn to it's normal state after TOM, and weigh then. This last time I took evening primrose oil, as recommended by another member, and it REALLY helped my mood and cravings! I seriously almost didn't feel like it was TOM.

          dont worry it's water weight, I usually gain from 5-8 lbs before tom I find that keeping my salt intake down can help a week or so before, I've also heard good things about the evening primrose oil juli mentioned.
