Beef jerky, commercial type bought at stores is made usually with the following ingredients;
Beef
Salt (salt is used to cure meat and keep it from spoiling. That is the reason jerky usually does not need refrigeration.)
Sweetner--can be in form of raw sugar, brown sugar, curing sugar, dextrose, corn syrup, sorbitol
Then the flavoring, terryaki, smoked, bbq etc.
The jerky will retain some of the carbs from the sugar.

I woke up this morning with the plan for going back to induction for two weeks...but i'm having a hard time doing it. You see, I love vegetables, and fruit and such...and I can eat all of that and still lose weight. Going through the ongoing weight loss stages (or "rungs" as we call them) teaches you how to eat these foods. It teaches us how to eat for the rest of our lives....without being deprived...and continue to lose weight and eventually maintain that weight loss for the rest of our lives.
I STRONGLY urge everyone to add foods back in like Dr. Atkins said to.
