  • i don't understand.

ok, i am confused, because i get conflicting answers.

is it ok to eat more than 3 cups of salad/veggies as long as you stay under 20 carbs? because otherwise i wouldn't even be getting 10 carbs a day. i thought it was meant to be 14-15 carbs from veggies, but i don't get that from three cups!?!?

    thanks guys.

Sokki- You can mix and match from the induction veggies list to hit your carb allottment. Add to that the carbs you're getting from cheese, eggs, organ meats and some shell fish, coffee if you're drinking it, salad dressings and 20 shouldn't be an issue. A salad of romaine with tomatoes, cukes, onion, jicama, for example - will help pop that carb count up there.

Personally, I've never used volume to measure my veggies. I have a food scale that I use and I find it to be not only far more accurate, but it lets me skip the whole "cups" thing and eat by mass.

If you do a search on the boards you'll find this discussed and the varying viewpoints on it in several threads.

General rule of thumb for success: If it requires a degree in chemical engineering to pronounce it, you probably shouldn't eat it.
