  • just started...need help?

    i have just started the atkins induction diet on monday/yesterday. i am a vegetarian. for breakfast i eat 2 hard-boiled eggs with only a very lil yolk. for lunch i hv jello (o carb) and a piece of string cheese. for snack i hv another string cheese and a omelet of 2 eggs. and for dinner i hv a salad with italian dressing (dressing = 1 carb). i have 6 bottles of water everyday.
    todays my second day n i dont notice much of a difference but i dont feel that hungry.
    is my diet ok? should i change anything? maybe add some exercise?

    Hi there - Do you have Dr. Atkins book? (the one copyrighted 2002) It is important that you follow what he says in his book. I'm not a vegetarian but you can follow this way of eating while being a vegetarian, it just takes a little extra hunting around for some recipes. I'm not sure if you can start in Induction so I'd recommend the book and take a look on the boards here for some suggestions. Looking at your menu, I'd say you are not getting enough veggies at all. And that you should also find additional protein sources other than eggs otherwise you will get bored.

    I'm sure some of the longer term members can give some better advice - but please get the book! It will make ALL the difference.
