  • My Atkins Promise

    I'm back once again to try atkins after a very successful asummer on atkins in 2005 i am now back on for good, i decided to write this post as a means of puttting in stone my promise to myself to do atkins with all my heart and soul.

    I did it in 2005 like that and i really enjoyed it so now i'm going to go back after many false starts so here it is i'm making a promise to myself to do atkins with all that i have




    Male 22 years old

    Start Weight: 289
    Current Weight: 238
    Start date 28/01/07 (i'm English so this is how we write the date)

    I'm a second time arounder.

    Welcome back Guy

    It sounds as if you are determined so I am sure you will soon be a big loser again!!

    Have you reread your DANDR to refresh your memory on the allowed foods list etc?
    Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
    Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

    F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )

        Welcome back!! Hey.. change that starting date, it's not 27 May 05 anymore and you're making a fresh start today!!

            Wow it's almost like looking at one of my posts! We have almost identical amount of wieght to lose! Hang in there!

                  149.8/no weigh/ 119



                  1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
                  what the rungs mean to me:
                  rung 1 - more veggies
                  rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
                  rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
                  rung 4 - berries, melon
                  rung 5 - wine -
                  rung 6 - beans, hummus
                  rung 7 - other fruits
                  rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
                  rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
                  Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
                  (on to pre-maintenance)

                      for exercise i'm doing 1 hour of tae bo in the morning and one at night every day with also 30 mins of either walking or weights alternating each day
