    Re: my 2nd day

There is a board here called "Review My Menu" where you can post what you are eating and see if you are on the right track. To know if the diet is working ....well in a few days you should feel more energy! If you weighed yourself(took measurements) and take them again in 14 days you should be able to see that it is working.

I understand about the rice though. Here in Belgium it is potatoes. The majority of Belgiums eat them in some form at least once a day(as french fries, steamed, roasted, boiled). I just tell myself that potatoes are boring. In the old days potatoes were a cheap way to add calories to the diet. They are really quite bland actually. In a few months as I move up the rungs I will eventually be able to add a small amount of potato to my menu and you will be able to add small amounts of brown rice to your own menu!

You can also use grated cauliflower in place of rice for many dishes.
When I serve curries or cook a stirfry dish I substitute it and actually prefer the taste!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
