the induction flu is kicking my butt. I feel hungry a lot tonight. Im hoping this will go away soon. Anyone know any ideas how to help the flu besides water?

    Re: Hungry

I remember at the beginning of induction, I was really hungry too. I ate as much legal food as I wanted until I was full. The hunger went away soon after and it hasn't been back since.

Hang in there, it will get better. Just keep plenty of legal foods around and don't feel bad if you eat them.

      Re: Hungry

If you are truly hungry....then, by all means, EAT! There are going to be some days that you are hungry and some days that you are not. On Atkins, one of the things he wanted us to learn was to listen to our bodies. Eat when you are hungry, and only when you are hungry. (Except, you should Never go six waking hours without eating SOMETHING)

HOWEVER, one other thing that you have to keep in mind is that very often our brains have gotten confused between the signal for THIRST and the signal for HUNGER. During induction, if I felt "hungry", I'd drink a glass of water. If after 10-15 minutes I was still "hungry" then I would eat. You want your body to relearn those cues.
