my sister made a kickass cheeseball for an appetizer today and she was kind enough to ask if the ingredients were legal for me, etc. long story short, i ate this great cheeseball, loved it, ate a lot of it, and then realized that there are pecans throughout...mixed in at every level in every way possible! damn! there goes my freakin' plan to have a clean induction...i was upset, but what i now realize is that this is what it's about!...to remember that it's all about learning and the point is for me to be paying attention and accepting a new way of living, way of being, way of eating...and it won't be easy and i will make mistakes...the long and short of it is i still ate a lot less carbs than i would have in the past, AND this teaches me to pay attention. my old way of eating and being are still very real...i need to pay attention and take care of myself...anyway, for me, this was a miracle...i did not beat myself up and revert to my old self belief of "well, i've already blown it, what's it gonna hurt to have (whatever)"...yes, i am moving on...brand new year, brand new me, brand new way of eating...thanks for reading! happy, happy holidays!!

Re: my personal christmas miracle
Hey, Jen -- good for you! Believe me, while not induction friendly, you know there are LOTS worse things you could have eaten. As you pointed out, your attitidue is on the right track, and that's just as important as the physical and dietary changes.
Best of luck to you!
