  • So Embarrasing To Ask!!!!!!

    This Is So Embarrasing..... Has Anyone Ever Had Diahrea That Is Yellow Like A Mustard Color... It Has To Be Fat? I Have Been On Induction For 3 Days And I Have Serious Yellow Liquid Diareah...do You Think It Is Just Fat Waste?

    I Was On Atkins And Had The Same Thing Happen To Me A Couple Years Ago. I Lost 40 Pounds In 5 1/2 Weeks So I Am Thinking It Just May Be That I Burn Fat So Fast That Is Where It Goes?

    Anyone Have An Idea?? I Am Worried It Is Dangerous???

    I will ask, are you eating your 3 cups of veggies a day? The veggies are neccessary not only for fiber, but the nutrients they contain. Also, are you drinking your water?

        Maybe you can post your menu for the last 3 days? Maybe someone could help you try to figure this out. 40 lbs. in 5 1/2 weeks is alot of weight!
        Also try posting your stats, such as starting weight/current weight/goal & height.
        I would think that if this does not get better you may want to contact your Doctor.

          That happens to me for the first week ir so then it go back to normal. I think it is your body getting used to the new WOE

            Hmmm, interesting. Maybe it is just your bodies way of cleansing itself. I went the other way the first few weeks of Atkins, even with all my veggies and added fiber...of course I've always had that problem.

            Has it gone back to normal now?

              Hi again, I honestly cannot go threw this. It has never been this bad before to be quite honestI ahve gone so much I can not walk. I ate 2 peices of whole wheat bread. I did not know what else to do.. Now it has stoped. What do I do? DO I quite...Or have this happen? I am scared it is not normal at all.

                Have you thought about increasing your carbs any? Dr Atkins says if you lose too fast then try addin in 5-10 carbs a day in the form of veggies or nuts, etc. I would think that would also help with the diarhea.

                  Remember, each time we change our way of eating, our body changes.
                  Each time I've redone induction, my body's reactions are always different. Sometimes I have a lot of diahrea, while the last time I restarted..I barely had any.

                  If you're getting a lot of diahrea, it could be the amount of water you're drinking. This last induction, my body held onto water instead of getting rid of it like it used to. Again, reactions can very every time.

                  Also, food dyes in our diet can determine what color the urine or feces is. Drink koolaide and well, you get probably an odd green.

                    I have the same problem and had the same problem the last time I was on Atkins. I cut out dairy to see if I had a sensitivity. So far, I haven't had any problems with Diarheaa today

                      If eating two pieces of whole wheat bread stopped the diarrhea, you might not be eating enough fiber on your Atkins. A slice of whole wheat bread has roughly 2 or 3 grams of fiber. So two pieces will have about 4-6 grams.

                      1 cup of green beans has about 4 grams of fiber. 1/2 cup of pumpkin has about 4 grams too. So you might want to post your menu in the Review My Menu section, look into eating vegetables other than lettuce, and take a daily fiber supplement like Dr. Atkins recommended in Chapter 8 or 9 of DANDR 2002.

                        i have the same issue, even though i'm eating 3 cups of veggies and drinking lots of water. try cutting back on the dairy. the last time i did atkins, when i cut the dairy, the loose BMs stopped.

                          I have found that with me, I can get it just from over doing water. That is if my body lets go of it. Usually I feel like the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man. lol.

                            i am having the exact same porblem...( well just without the yellow colour) . I think its because im drinking LOT of water compared to what i used to.... dunno...but if it means im gonna lose weight faster .. well ill deal with it ! lol 40 pounds in so little time sounds GREAT to me

                              Also... make sure that you're not using any of the Frankenfoods .... I have this reaction when I eat one of the 'locarb' bars with caramel....
