This isn't the first time starting Atkins for me. This is day 3 for me and the appetite supression has not kicked in. When will it??

Try eating smaller meals more often during the day...My biggest problem when I started was that I was so trained that on a diet you have to be hungry. You should eat before you are starving, and only eat until you aren't hungry anymore. Are you drinking enough water? Sometimes if your body is thirsty, it tells you that it's hungry...Stick with it, it shouldn't take long to get in the swing of things

Induction is a radically different experience for everyone, I'd say. Some people have horrible induction flu that lasts weeks, others never even get a slight headache. Some people lose 20 pounds, some lose 2. The appetite suppression thing should kick in soon--possibly you still have some carbs floating around your bloodstream. Also, make sure you're eating enough fat with meals--the fat is what fuels your body and keeps you satisfied after meals. I agree. If you are hungry, then EAT! Legal food. Protein and fat combinations.
The appetite suppression will come eventually....and your caloric intake will decline when it does...but until then don't worry, eat if you are hungry. It usually takes me a good week sometimes more until I have the appetite suppression effects of induction.
Oh and DRINK water, water, water. Water is your magic weight loss pill. This plan WILL NOT WORK if you don't drink your water. What you think is hunger might really be THIRST. We have to retrain our bodies to send the right signals. So, if hungry, drink a glass of water. If you are still hungry after that, go ahead and eat.~Joy

In addition to food (which of course you can eat as much of any induction legal food as you want) I like to drink a lot of tea. Caffeine free herbal teas are great to sip on in this cold weather and it's something to keep your tummy busy while you think about if you are really hungry or just thirsty. Plus, honestly for me it wasn't that I was necessarily hungry but that I was so used to snacking on chips and junk all day that I had completely forgotten the feeling of "being full."
Oh and for the tea: Orange Zinger and Raspberry Zinger are my personal favorites! You don't even need a tea pot - just microwave a cup of water and then drop in your tea bag. Easy!
