you subtract 2 carns of fiber for 8 total. That is why it is on the other list.

Not only is spaghetti squash one of my FAVORITE VEGGIES, spaghetti squash is fine for induction--it's on the list of "other" veggies. True, it's 8g per cup, but a "typical" serving is 1/2 cup. Even if you ate a cup of it, and had your salad veggies, I highly doubt you'll be over 20g.

It's great with butter and cheese!

Once you get to OWL, try it with pepperoni and spaghetti/tomato sauce. I also top it with alfredo, broccoli and chicken--once again, another OWL treat!

Spaghetti squash is an Induction legal vegetable. It is limited to 1 cup. It's a highly nutritious vegetable and there is absolutely no nutritional/Atkins reason to avoid it or the other vegetables on the "other" list.

The lettuces might be low in carbs but keeping your carbs close to 0 does not ensure weight loss. So take advantage of those 54 vegetables on the Induction list. It's been the experience of the On-Going Weight Loss Phase folks that vegetables (other than lettuce) actually enhances their losses and their health.

                Re: ?Spagetti Squash?Help!!!

Ok, this is probably the most dumb question ever, but what does a spaghetti squash look like?? It's not a very common veg were i'm from so I don't even know if i can get my hands on it. I'm teaching in Korea at the moment so i can't ask the shop assistant as i can't speak korean that well, this veg sounds great and id love to try it. Im on day 6 of the induction so relatively new to it all, but thankyou for clearing up the myth about only sticking to lettuce in order to lose weight!! I'm not a great lettuce fan. Thankyou for your help

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

You're welcome, colleenmag I hope you can find it.

I have looked all round our local shops and never found it - another veg we dont seem to get over here in UK is jicama which our USA members find so useful and adaptable in recipes
