  • Did i mess up??

    i'm on day 6.

    i had a Bacon & Ranch salad @ Mcdonalds with my mom
    I didnt have the dressing.
    I had it with grilled chicken also.

    The website said it has 12 carbs.

    Did i mess up??

    No. Take out the fiber from the 12 (12-3) and then you have 9g net carbs, which is pretty normal for a salad with tomatoes...

        Be careful with anything from Mc Donalds though. According to the movie "Super Size Me", they add sugar to everything on their menu to make it taste better and more addictive.

            Best choice you could have made - in comparison to what else is available.

            Good job ! I like their salads !

              I couldn't find the ingredients for the chicken on the US site, but they have them on the Canadian site (i'd imagine there's not much difference between the two countries).

              I have also had the chicken salad there but only in a pinch after seeing what they make their 'chicken breast' with. The hydrogenated oils are enough to keep me away.

              Chicken breast, water, salt, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, spices, modified milk ingredients, hydrogenated soybean and cottonseed oil, corn maltodextrin, romano and parmesan cheese, sodium phosphate, disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate, citric acid.

                i'm a huuuge fan of the subway tuna salad. its wonderful with one slice of cheese and no dressing. makes the carb count much less! the site says it has 8 net carbs..but according to my calculations...it looks to be about 5. not positive though. try it! =)

                  Another thing to be aware of when buying meals with salad at fast food outlets is that they often contain much more than one or two cups of salad - so you need to take some home uneaten (to have next day) to stay within your 3 cups total!
