The last time I was on Atkins (for over a year), I noticed that it gives you some fierce dragon breath. My wife says it smells like old flesh, lol. I never did figure out how to get rid of it. I'm sure someone else has had this problem. Has anyone figured out a solution to it?

Re: Atkins Breath
Drink lots of water (which is a must on this WOE already) and chew parsley. The ketosis breath should go away in a while. It's a good sign though... means you're in ketosis!!Before and after:

You might not 4me... not everyone gets it. I never had it at all, and was mostly in ketosis until pre-maintenance.Before and after:

Re: Atkins Breath
Not everyone experiences 'ketone breath' as an unpleasant smell - Dr Atkins thought of it as a sweet smell - see #12 in the 'Facts & Fallacies' Chapter of DANDR (chapter 9).
Bad breath often comes from mouth hygiene problems or tooth decay, so try cleaning your teeth more often or having some mouthwash handy.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
