  • Dessert?

So I've looked all through the dessert section and I was wondering what is ok and what's not on Induction. Choc Mousse? Clouds? Cheesecake? Or is it best to just stay to the core things on induction???

I'm not craving at all, which is good, I'm just looking for some variety!

    Thanks!

My opinion is that you should stay away from the sweets/desserts during induction. You are trying to break an addiction and may be doing yourself a disservice if you have a dessert. And if you're not craving don't jinx it!

I agree with Cynthia. If you aren't craving, then forget about the sweets for your first two weeks. See if you CAN give them up. Then, when you really are craving something sweet you go ahead and eat it, but really treat it as a "treat" or "special occasion" as opposed to having to have dessert everyday, yanno?

I say if you do get the urge go with pumpkin something ...you get more vitamins and it is not as likely to spark cravings inmho as chocolate ....

            Re: Dessert?

I wouldn't do any desserts now. I started Induction at the end of November. On Christmas eve I decided to make myself some chocolate mousse. It was ok. I had a small portion and ended up throwing the rest out a few days later. It was just too sweet. I do not think I would have had that wonderful experience if I had been eating desserts during induction. My "desssert" now is different cheeses, salami dipped into a spicy mustard. Mummm

As well as pumpkin dont forget rhubarb!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
