Re: My story..Anyone who has around 30 lbs to lose?

    hi euroasia,

I always add fat to my food especially snacks. If i have some chicken i always dip it in mayo and if i have bacon and eggs, i make it egg mayo. It defo fills me up more. As for veggies, i eat very little of them. Im trying to introduce a few more of them this week to see how they effect me, but my main stay is meat. Im spending a fortune on meat, im gonna gave to hunt around for cheaper places to buy it in, my purse strings are tightening now.

      Hi everyone!
I also have 25 pds to lose. I am at my heaviest at 127 at 5.1. I want to be 105 again. The first 2 weeks are really the hardest. I hope to shake my junk food cravings.

Hello and welcome Nadine and of course, good luck!

Update about me: I weighed myself and I see no difference. I am not sure if my scale is correct.
I went to the drugstore to buy ketostix(sp) but they have never heard of such thing.

At this point I need some sort of encouragement and assurance. I have no way to measure my ketosis condition and my scale is not helping either. My clothes?..Seems like they fit the same.

I began eating less veggies and more meat products. The label problem remains the same. Tomorrow is my 14th day but I will continue with the program and give it 2 more weeks.

Hi there ~ Are you able to use www.fitday.com - I understand your labeling problem, but perhaps fitday would allow you to at least get a good idea of the nutrition information for a particular product. And don't forgo the veggies - you need those 3 cups a day for everything to work properly. I applaud your efforts to do this under less than ideal circumstances (lack of good labeling, etc.)! Best wishes to you!

Hi, Ladies! You know, i would not be too worried about the ketosis. If you are eating as you know should be for two weeks AND drinking lots of water AND exercising...you'll be in it and you'll see results. I do believe that for those who have a small amt...10-30 lbs, it is going to take longer to lose. But, don't stay on induction too long. I hear tell here that people tend to lose steadily as they move onto different rungs. Don't think that staying on induction will make you lose more...plus it doesn't help you move to a new WOL or WOE if you just eat meat, eggs and fat.

Don't get discouraged and don't go by the scales.

Hello all, thank you for all the input. All is going well here. The scale has not moved as much as I expected but it has. Keep up the good work!

                Good to hear
Are you moving on to OWL now and starting to add 5 net carbs more of your veggies?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

                    Hello again,

My net is up and working.

I have not moved into OWL yet because I wanted to lose big fast. Right now I am 6 lbs, 3 kilos away from my goal and I am sooooo happy. I cannot believe I have lost so much so fast. At the eginning it was as if my body resisted the loss ut at the beginning of February I've begun feeling skinnier and skinnier.

I hope everyone is doing well and losing!

I am on day 10 of Induction and so far have lost 8lbs, im hoping to lose 25 pounds all together, by the end of April. I have found this diet really easy to stick to so far and am never hungry! i cant wait until i fit back into all my old jeans and clothes again.

I also have 27lbs. to lose total, now 18lbs. I've been doing Atkins for 3 weeks, as of today. I moved to OWL on Monday.

Make sure you eat the veggies!!! Excess protein can stall your weight loss and fiber will help keep you from overeating.
