  • What to drink

I've have not drank anything but water for the last three days.
What else is there for induction people to drink?
(cut myself off of diet soda becauser I was getting confused on what and what was not allowed). Also, what is the sweetner that can be used again? (brand name would be helpful)

Diet 7 up is made with splenda but has sodium.

Diet right has a soda that has 0 carbs 0 sugar 0 sodium and is made with splenda.

Waist Watchers is made with splenda as well. They have flavors like Chocolate fudge. Vanilla Cream, Black Cherry, One that tastes like sour lemonaide and the regular diet flavors like Ginger Ale, Lemon Lime, Root beer.

Those are the ones I have found in my grocery store.

I treat them as a treat. If I feel I need chocolate ill have a small glass of the chocolate fudge one and it curbs the craving.

thanks for the information...I was needing something else to drink.
It's just kind of hard to find no to caffine, yes to splenda drinks.
is it okay to put a slice of lemon in your tea or water?

            Re: What to drink

Oh yes! I always drink my water with a slice of lemon--lemon and lime juice is listed as a "special category" food (along with sour cream, olives, etc.) and you're permitted a couple teaspoons of juice per day. You'll have to double check the induction chapter of DANDR for exact amounts...

              Re: What to drink

Could be hard to figure out how much juice your getting with a slice of lemon. I guess you should squeeze a slice and measure the result and use that. Then you can can how many slices of lemon you use in the day and add the carbs up properly. You will probably be overestimating in that case becuase the amount you squeeze out of a lemon slice is likely more then what soaks into your water as you drink it, but it's better to overestimate then underestimate.

Decaf tea or decaf coffee would be much better choices than soda. The water does wear on a bit sometimes.
