Hi ok i have to step away from this recipe i made today, i made a broccoli crunch salad to take tonight for a legal side dish, that i got off of lindas website, and i promise i have been going to the fridge and having a bite hear and there, it is really good, that is what my problem is to begin with i can overeat just because it taste good and im not even hungry its the taste all the way around, i will not make that no time soon again, that is one thing im learning in this process what i can deal with and what i cant. JUst thought i would share that im thinking maybe if i tell on myself i will stop!!!!

    Re: step away

Lisa, I totally feel what you are going through. This WILL pass. Stick to your plan, get yourself GOOD into ketosis (like a month) and that type of behavior will pass.

BUT, this is a good lesson for you too. Learning how to "step away" is good for all of us.

I "step away" frequently by throwing away food that triggers these behaviors and pouring stuff on it so that I can't go dig it back out.

    Good for you!

      Re: step away

Keep a note about this in the back of your mind. There are some perfectly legal foods that can act as triggers for some of us. We have had members in the past who got cravings from foods like broccoli or celery. I can't eat any dish that has eggplant and tomato because I'll begin eating everything in the house---window panes, plumbing and roofing shingles included.

Just remember, this is a lifestyle change in which you lose weight and learn about how your body reacts to foods. The last part is especially important if you want to stay at your goal weight/size for the rest of your life...not that we don't like having you around at ADBB, but we would like to have smaller, healthier Lisa around too.

        Re: step away

thank you for the reply joy and megs, i appreciate it, joy that is a great idea by throwing it away, well i have not touched it since i posted and im going to take it and leave the remainder of it where i go, i told my husband this morning im going to bring the leftovers home but im not. Actually i think it is the sauce in the salad that has me hooked, i usually never want to overeat broccoli whatsoever but im a dipper and a sauce girl, it seems like i tend to go overboard, and the sauce is mayo, splenda and cider vinegar so it has that sweet taste to it, so i know i will not make this again anytime soon. I have made it in the past when doing atkins but i was not in the first two weeks and i did fine with it but not this time around, thank you ladies for your feedback!!!
