Well here I go again. Last year I started Atkins and lost around 20 lbs, then I quit after a month and a half and gave in to pressure from my husband always complaining about me doing Atkins. (He has a quite a few pounds to shed too, I think he's in denial) It would be great if he would do this with me but he has to want to do it and right now he doesn't. Anyway I'm starting again and this time I'm not giving up. I have alot of weight to lose (100 lbs) and I know that I can and will do it. I have PCOS and had trouble conceiving my first child. I would like to have another child but I'm having trouble again. My dr. said that losing weight would help with PCOS. I just want to say to all of you that have been successful doing Atkins to keep posting your weightloss stories and pics. They are soooo encouraging. I look at myself and wonder how in the world am I going to lose this much weight, then I look at some of the before and after pics and it gives me hope. Great job to those of you who have achieved your goals. I hope to be one of those success stories in the future!!

Re: Back again!!
Welcome Southstar!! You will be one of the success stories!! Have you thought about making several short term or "mini" goals? When I started I just said I wanted to lose 11 lbs. - I met that in induction. Then I decided I wanted to be the weight I was when I met my hubby 3 years ago. I gave myself plenty of time (Feb. 1) I am almost there!! I most likely will not make it, but it is O.K. because I at least it has me concentrating on just a few lbs. at a time.
You can do it ONE DAY AT A TIME!!
For a little encouragement, I'll post my horrible before photo -
