Re: Cream cheese....
Make a dip/spread to go with your veggies--add dill, parsley, garlic...or thyme, oregano, basil, garlic. Be creative! You don't have to eat it with celery. Use cucumber, bell peppers, tomatoes, or spread it on lettuce leaves, add a slice of turkey or deli meat, and you've got great roll-ups!
You can also make GREAT jalapeno poppers with cream cheese!START 8/16/06 @ 270+~MG1: 220-12/2/06~MG2: 210-1/07~MG3: 199-3/2/07~MG4: 190-4/27/07~MG5: 180-7/04/07~GOAL: 170

Re: Cream cheese....
when I'm really craving a sweet [or a glass of wine], i'll take a slice and sprinkle it with that new flavored Splenda. With a cup of hot tea, I'm able to savor it, and the cravings go away....

Re: Cream cheese....
You just don't want any processed meat you eat to be cured with sugars and/or have other sugar/starch fillers. Check the labels - read the carb count AND the ingredients list. You don't want to see sugar (or honey or dextrose or corn syrup or, well, you get the idea) Be aware, too, that the processed meats generally have more sodium than something fresh that you cook yourself.Originally posted by mrshoodI thought I cant have any kind of sandwhich meat?? Did I read that wrong? Oh I hope so...If so, I'm going to the grocery tomorrow...hehe.

Re: Cream cheese....
I enjoy taking peppers and dicing them finely, mixing them with cream cheese, and rolling it up in thin lunchmeat. My kids love these also. We call them Pinwheels for some reason.
These are what I take on long car trips.. easily eaten while driving!

Re: Cream cheese....
I use it as an ingredient. For example, use it as the cream sauce in creamed spinach. Combine it with a hard cheese like parmesan or cheddar for a cheese sauce to be used on veggies like broccoli or cauliflower. Alot of people like that Hamburger Helper stuff. You can add a couple of ounces to sauteed ground meat towards the last few minutes of cooking and you'll have a creamy sauce/gravy for it. It's particularly good for things like Beef Stroganoff too.
Mix chopped fresh herb and/or spices into it and use as a filling for omelettes.~Megs~

Re: Cream cheese....
I take one ounce of cream cheese and microwave it for 15 or 20 seconds to make it soft. I sprinkle with stevia (or you can use whatever sweetener you prefer) and mix with a fork to a taste and texture like cake frosting. I then use it as a topping on my sugar free jello.
MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
