Don't worry...I'll protect you all the DANDR books that are about to get thrown in your general direction...LOL.

I'll refer ya to this link...in the induction forum thread that outlines the specific foods that should be eaten during induction, and many other usefull info.

      Induction Rule to Live By:

      4. Eat nothing that isn't on the Acceptable Foods list. And that means absolutely nothing. Your "just this one taste won't hurt" rationalization is the kiss of failure during this phase of Atkins.

Over the last almost 4 years ADBB has been in existence, it's been our collective experience that those low carb bars, shakes, and junk food slow or completely stop weight loss for some people. Moreover, for some people, these foods are just as bad as their regular carb counterparts because these people begin to substitute these products for real food, overindulge and fall off the diet. Therefore, we don't recommend them during the Induction phase of the diet.

But they are a 'your mileage may vary' type thing, so if you choose to use them, be aware of their potential problems.

Or to quote something that I have seen Brook post more than a couple of times...."Low carb junk food is STILL junk food!"

                Re: low carb foods?

And to add to what has already been said, when/if you do decide to use them do make sure they are 'legal' for the Atkins phase you are on.
So when you are on induciton all the ingredients must be also on the list of allowed foods - which as far as I know eliminates ALL the lowcarb bars and most other lowcarb products.
you will need to wait till the relevant rung/level of OWL for all the ingredients of any lowcarb product before adding them to your plan.
So if it contains wheat flour then it isnt allowed till the grains rung, if made from soy flour with no wheat or other grains like rice, oats etc then it would be allowed earlieron the legumes rung etc.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
