(((((Jessica)))))) Hang in there, and try to view this is a learning experience.

You've just learned that trying to feed a craving doesn't work.

If you're truly hungry - eat something - but make sure it's totally legal (peanut butter isn't!)- and make sure you eat until your hunger is satisfied. Not until you're full or stuffed, but until you're not hungry anymore.

If the craving is still kickin' your butt, but you know you're not physically hungry - get busy doing something! Go for a walk, reread your DANDR, but do something positive and proactive. The cravings will pass and they will lessen. They really will!!

    You are worth the effort!!!

    Hang in there!

As Brook said, Eating sweet stuff will only feed your sugar monster and prolong any cravings
so try to eat a highfat non-sweet snack if you feel hungry to tame that monster and teach it that YOU are in control.

        Re: having problems :-(

Don't let those dreams get to you. I used to have them at least 3 or 4 times a week, horrible dreams where I don't realize I'm eating something illegal and then I burst into tears when I DO realize it. I used to wake up feeling nauseous yet very relieved.

If you are craving what you had in the dream, eat something high-fat and satisfying. Cheese, pepperoni, something legal.

Eventually I think these dreams will disappear once you feel more comfortable with how the plan is going. Mine disappeared for a couple months but returned last week, I think because of this no-weigh challenge anxiety I'm facing.

Just stay cool, don't give in, and keep plugging along.

thanks for your replys to my post..... I had another dream a few nights ago that I almost ate spagetti but I stopped myself and ate some spagettie squash, even in my dreams Im trying to be good.

I wasent thinking when it came to the peanut butter I was thinking it was legal but it wasent

I think the dreams are because my body is just in shock right now lol. after my attack earlyer I drank some water and exercised and that took care of it.
Im sure I will have more speed bumps but Im getting over them well and moving forward.

I had a nightmare that I was eating peanut M&Ms and couldn't stop myself. I was just thinking "oh god, no...NOOOOOO!!!" I was really upset when I woke up and wanted anything but sweets. It was a induction nightmare LOL

I think everyone has them, these kind of threads do apear every now and then, I would also wake up and feel so guilty and then I realised it was a dream and I didn't actually eat the stuff I dreamt, what a relief !!!!!
I don't even think they are only happening in induction, they don't come as often, but I still have them sometimes, yuk.

This may sound so strange, but for some reason a dill pickle is an instant craving killer for me... it's the darndest thing! If I have something sweet or illigal I just can't get off my mind, I go get a few dill pickle slices... Works instantly!

Give it a try, maybe it will work for you !

I gave up smoking about 7 years ago, and I still dream occassionally that I have had a cigarette. But for me its positive, because I am soooo relieved when I wake up and its a dream...It acts as an affirmation that I don't want to smoke. I always thought it was my subconscious keeping me on the straight and narrow! LOL

Maybe you can see the dreams as a positive...I really would keep away from peanut butter though...thats more likely to set off cravings for me than cure them.

I agree with Josephina - I think the dreams show how determined you are not to eat off-plan! Subconsciously you are playing out what would happen if you did slip - try to see this as a positive reminder and keep going!!
